GIGs needed for March 2008
I've just made contact with another writer for PAGE and SCREEN Paul Koopeman, an ex Perthite who now administers for the Australian Poetry Centre. He helped catch my runaway password so I can check out their spiffy new Australian Poetry Centre website:  http://www.australianpoetrycentre.org.au/?page_id=2

Paul's coming over to Perth in March 2009 for a Writers Festival and has been invited to read at Poets Corner @ Pages Cafe on 21st March 2009.

But he's looking to run workshops and share his experiences with as many other groups as he can fit in.  If you'd like to take advantage of his visit - contact Paul directly: paulkooperman@bigpond.com or call 0413 470 895.

Paul Kooperman was awarded the Established-Writer-in-Residence at the Katharine Susannah Pritchard Centre in 1997, has worked as a writer in the script departments of several television shows including Home and Away, had a feature film produced in 2006, called Wil, and has since received several feature film commissions.

In 2008, Paul has been commissioned to write another feature film, a series of books for Macmillan Publishers as well as receiving investment for a production of his musical, "Woman On Top". He currently lectures in screenwriting at the JMC Academy in South Melbourne and works for the Australian Poetry Centre developing a variety of projects.

In March 2009, Paul is returning to Perth a guest speaker at the All Saints College Literary Festival and, while in Perth, is making himself available to speak, read his work or run workshops for other literary organisations in the areas of scriptwriting, screenwriting, getting produced or published, making a living as a writer.
