A short while ago, Peter Jeffries as Chairperson for the WA Poets Inc, phoned me to ask if I would host and organise a special POETS CORNER event for the 2009 WA Spring Poetry Festival. 

Of course I happily agreed to revive the popular poetry event at Pages Cafe especially for the 2009 Festival as a one-off. 

Although I no longer have the time to arrange regular monthly events, I was pleased to do a one-off with plenty of lead-up time.  Arrangements have already been made and the first poet guest has been invited and accepted.

Today, Peter rang me again, telling me my event, Poets Corner @ Pages Cafe will clash with the newly formed Perth Poetry Club which happens EVERY Saturday between 2 and 4pm. 

So I'm sorry to have to let you all down again. 

Please accept my sincere apologies to all those looking forward to the special one-off event , POETS CORNER @ PAGES CAFE for 2009 WA Spring Poetry Festival on Saturday the 29th August 2009 - this event has now been CANCELLED.
