THI SATURDAY's Poets Corner will be devoted entirely to Afief Ismail Abdelrazig : a well known Sudanese poet who now lives in Western Australia. He's appeared at Poets Corner a few times and is proudly included in our Pages '05 anthology.
Afief has just returned from Egypt where he published his 4th book. I look forward to hearing some of his stories and poems both in his own language and translated/performed in English.
We will have the usual 'Open Mic' and in the light of our special guest, would challenge readers to consider sharing poems about 'Freedom' or 'Prison'.
